Ten Days In The Life

úterý 24. října 2023

Three major triathlons, three different countries, three time zones. All in 10 days. That was the challenge for CADEX triathlete Kristian Blummenfelt. This is the story of how it went.

It may seem crazy, but Blummenfelt is used to attempting the impossible. This 10-day span of competition and travel was all about one thing: preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games. After dominating longer distance triathlons over the past few years—including world titles in the full Ironman distance and Ironman 70.3—Blummenfelt is turning his attention back to Olympic distance triathlons as he aims to repeat his gold medal performance at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

This trip started with the Paris Test Event on August 16, which offered a chance to preview the course for the 2024 Olympic Games. That was quickly followed by a flight halfway around the world for the August 20 PTO Asian Open in Singapore—where Blummenfelt pulled off his latest incredible feat and scored the win riding with his CADEX Tri frameset and Aero WheelSystem. And finally, all the way back to Europe for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Finland.

Blummenfelt was joined for part of the trip by fellow Norwegian and CADEX-sponsored triathlete Gustav Iden. In the end, it was an extremely challenging 10 days that netted one major win for Blummenfelt along with invaluable training and competitive insights as he looks ahead to Paris 2024.
