BikeRadar: CADEX Race Tire Delivers "Lovely Feeling of Free Speed"

Tuesday, April 13, 2021

BikeRadar posted a review of the CADEX Race tire, praising the smooth, supple ride quality as well as the easy setup for the tubeless road tire. Editors gave the high-performance race tire a strong 4-star rating (out of 5).

Tester David Arthur rode the 28mm version of the CADEX Race tire, which is also available in 23mm and 25mm diameters. He detailed some of the key features of the tire, including its silica-based RR-S compound and Race Shield puncture protection.

“The tyres offer good support and low pressures, and through corners they provide predictable handling, meeting my expecations for a race tyre that’s going to be ridden hard in all situations,” Arthur wrote. “Tubeless installation was easy, with one tyre lever and a regular floor pump adequate for popping the beads into place, with minimal air loss over the course of a week.”

Summing up his experience, Arthur wrote: “The ride impressions are extremely positive with a lovely feeling of free speed on the majority of road surfaces. Onto rough roads and the suppleness of the casing becomes apparent because, even at higher pressures, the tyres feel delightfully smooth, imbuing fine comfort and road feel while squeezing as much speed through a corner as possible.”
