Madigan Munro, an 18-year-old American who races for the Colorado-based Boulder Junior Cycling squad, won the bronze medal at the 2020 Cyclocross World Championships riding a CADEX 42 WheelSystem in the Junior Women’s race. Munro, who has only been racing ’cross for two years, won the U.S. junior women’s national title in December. Six weeks later she traveled to Dubendorf, Switzerland, and scored the podium at the World Championships with a late-race surge, leaving a chase group behind to close in on Dutch riders Shirin van Androoij and Puck Pieterse, who finished first and second respectively.
