CCC Team rider Attila Valter put the finishing touches on a dominant team showing at the Tour de Hongrie, winning the final stage riding his CADEX WheelSystem and taking the overall victory at the five-day stage race. The team won four out of five stages along with the GC and points classifications.

Valter’s Stage 5 win made it four of five stage victories for CCC Team following his teammate Jakub Mareczko’s all-out blitz of the sprint stages. Mareczko, also riding on a CADEX WheelSystem, won Stages 2, 3 and 4 and secured the points classification win. The Italian sprinter then stepped aside the final day as the team shifted its attention to the general classification.

“I felt like I could get this result today and the way we have raced over the last few days made me feel even more confident,” said Valter, who earned the win riding his CADEX WheelSystem. “I knew every meter of the last climb and I knew what I needed to do. I waited a bit longer to attack than last year when I went too early and wasn’t successful, so this year I was more patient.”
