Rave Reviews for New CADEX Amp Saddle!

Πέμπτη, 26 Οκτωβρίου 2023

The CADEX Amp saddle was introduced earlier this year, and the response by cycling media has been overwhelmingly positive. Here’s a look at some of the reviews.

The new Amp saddle takes some of the core features of the acclaimed CADEX Boost saddle and packages them with a new design and shape made to fit the needs of more riders. Like the Boost, it has an Advanced Forged Composite Technology base, Integrated Rail Design and Particle Flow padding.

What’s new is the shape, which features an ergonomic rear curve to improve ischial support and a side curve that offers greater leg clearance for pedaling. The top of the saddle has a crowned shape that drops away at the wings.

Road.cc reviewer Tom Weijand, who gave the Amp a 4.5 star rating (out of 5) wrote: “The CADEX Amp saddle must be made of magic. It’s light and as comfy as saddles that are twice the weight. How did CADEX do this?”

Cycling Weekly had similar praise, posing the question in the headline of the review: “Is the CADEX Amp a unicorn of saddles?”

Anne-Marije Rook, the North American Editor for Cycling Weekly, wrote: “CADEX’s all-new featherweight saddle may just be the most comfortable performance saddle I’ve ridden in years.”

Describing the shape and fit, Rook pointed out that the saddle had been ridden to a stage win at the Giro d'Italia, “but the Amp wasn’t just made for the world’s best racers. The brand’s Boost saddle serves that purpose and, while popular, its tendency to force riders into an aggressive position isn’t for everyone… The Amp sports a design that’s more versatile and meant to serve a wider range of cyclists.”

Velo also gave the Amp high marks, with road and gravel tech editor Alvin Holbrook writing: “Let me tell you, it’s really, really good.”

Detailing his ride experience, Holbrook continued: “I immediately found comfort riding atop the CADEX Amp. It does a great job of accommodating an aggressive riding position, it keeps me locked in place, and it does so without too much fatigue. Ten-hour days in the saddle were about as comfortable as they’ll get.”
