CADEX Lifetime Warranty for Wheels: In the case of manufacturing defect or quality control issue, as determined by an authorized CADEX retailer or CADEX service center, CADEX will provide a replacement or repair at no charge or provide a refund for the wheel. If any wheels have been discontinued, an alternative of comparable value will be provided.

What situations are covered under the CADEX Lifetime Warranty?

The CADEX Lifetime Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects or quality control issues and to the original registered purchaser of the wheels.

What wheels are covered under program?

The CADEX Lifetime Warranty applies to all CADEX wheels (CADEX 36, CADEX 50 Ultra, CADEX 50, CADEX AR 35, CADEX Max 40, CADEX Aero 4 Spoke Disc, CADEX Aero Disc and all future models) sold after January 1, 2024.

What conditions must be met before the CADEX Lifetime Warranty can be fulfilled?

  1. The customer must register their wheels within 8 weeks after purchase. Product registration is essential in case proof of purchase is lost.
  2. The customer must file a claim along with proof of purchase at an authorized CADEX retailer.
  3. Tires and other components should be kept on the wheel and only removed by the authorized CADEX retailer or CADEX service center.
  4. The customer should be prepared to provide the following whenever possible:
  1. Wheel model & serial number
  2. Date and place of purchase
  3. Proof of purchase
  4. Proof of CADEX product registration
  5. Picture(s) of the wheel and area in question

What is covered?

  1. This warranty is only valid in the country where the wheels were purchased.
  2. This warranty is complementary to and not limited to the statutory provisions of the country where the product was sold.
  3. The warranty period will not be extended, renewed or otherwise affected due to subsequent resale, repair or replacement of the product, to the extent permitted by the statutory provisions
  4. The CADEX Lifetime Warranty DOES NOT cover damage caused by wheel wear and tear over time and failure to service the wheels. Additionally it does not cover the following situations:
  1. Marketing samples, athlete samples, or demonstration samples.
  2. Damage from misuse, abuse, accident or negligence.
  3. Any damage verified as being artificially caused.
  4. Theft or loss.
  5. Replacement of consumable items:• Bearings • Brake pads • Ratchet rings • Bushings • Dust seal • Foam rings • Glide rings • Freewheels • Rubber • Stripped threads or bolts (aluminum, titanium, magnesium or steel) • Tires • Wheel braking surfaces • Rim tape • Quick release axles • Valves and valve stems
  6. Damage caused by non-CADEX approved brake pads or tires

E.     The CADEX Lifetime Warranty will be void if:

  1. The product has been modified or repaired by any person or entity other than an authorized CADEX representative in the country concerned.
  2. The product has been repaired with unauthorized spare parts.
  3. The product serial number has been removed, deleted, altered or made illegible.

Additional information

  1. If the wheel is not registered within 8 weeks after purchase, it will only be covered by the 2-year warranty policy starting at date of purchase.
  2. To complete a warranty claim, the product must be returned to an authorized CADEX retailer or CADEX service center. Replacement wheels will only be delivered after the defective item is received.
  3. Spare-parts may be used to solve the warranty claim. If a defect occurs on the rim, the original hub will be re-used.
  4. The cost for a potential shipment to the authorized CADEX retailer or CADEX service center and the associated transport insurance will be at the cost of the customer.
  5. Repair and replacement of the wheel must be completed by an authorized CADEX service team.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

  1. To the maximum extent allowed by local law, except for the obligations specifically set forth in this warranty statement, Giant, CADEX or its third party supplies shall in no event be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of anticipated benefits, loss of use, loss of revenue, cost of any substitute equipment or facilities, claims of third parties, damage to property resulting from the purchase or use of the product arising from the breach of the warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict tort or any legal or equitable theory, even if Giant knew of the likelihood of such damages.
  2. Giant or CADEX shall not be liable for any delay in the warranty service.
