Blummenfelt Leads New Crew of World-Class CADEX Triathletes

CADEX announced that triathlete and Olympian Kristian Blummenfelt has signed with the brand for 2021-2022. The 27-year old Norwegian has broken the 70.3 world record twice and currently holds the world record in that distance with a time of 3:25:21, which he set at the 2019 Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championships.

Potter is the 2019 European Champion and ranked 5th in the 2020 World Triathlon standings. After a first and second-place finish in the Valencia and Arzachena World Cups, she is cementing her place in the top echelons of women’s short-course triathlon World Triathlon Media photo.
Spivey is a member of USA Triathlon’s National Team and is currently ranked 3rd in ITU World Rankings. She finished 2nd at WTS Abu Dhabi in 2019 and earned a 3rd place finish at WTS Yokohama.

Hsiao holds the record for the fastest time in an Ironman 70.3 event by a Taiwanese triathlete. He balances this triathlon career with his work as a mechanical design engineer in Silicon Valley.

Blummenfelt’s rise in triathlon started with a bronze medal at the 2015 European Championships. Since then, he has won multiple ITU World Triathlon Series and World Cup races, most notably scoring a gold medal at the 2019 WTS Grand Final in Lausanne, Switzerland. Additionally, Blummenfelt finished fourth at the 2019 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France, and has won three Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championships. He plans to put his speed to the test over twice that distance with the Pho3nix Sub7 Project in 2022, where he will attempt to go under seven hours and break the current iron-distance world record.

“I don’t train as hard as I do and then give up time with inferior equipment,” said Blummenfelt. “With CADEX, no matter the distance or condition, I know I’ll have the best products to compete with at the highest level.”

Along with Blummenfelt, CADEX also formed new partnerships with triathletes Beth Potter, Taylor Spivey, Tamara Gorman, Tyler Mislawchuk and Yu Hsiao.
