The first-ever frameset from CADEX impressed the d&i awards jury with its radical monocoque frame, wide-spread fork legs and horizontal seatstays that unlock a new level of aero efficiency.
As the largest international bicycle trade show in Asia, the event attracts innovative products from around the world. The TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards have thus become a major award in the global bicycle industry. This year an international jury of experts chose 46 winners from nearly 140 submissions representing 12 countries. Of that selected group, seven received a coveted Gold Award.
A post on the iF Design website notes that the CADEX Tri Frameset was “designed, engineered and put to test by the world's fastest triathletes, and the results speak for themselves: It has won the IM World Champ and the Ironman 70.3 World Championship. Kristian Blummenfelt used it to record the fastest Ironman time ever in the Sub7 race.”
The jury was also impressed by the frame’s versatility and adjustability: “The massive down tube doubles as a race-ready storage system, making hydration and nutrition easily accessible. And its adjustability provides 1,000 fit configurations for personalized performance.”
