I’ve been riding my bike since I was 5 and racing since I was 9. I had talent when I started, but in my teenage years a lot of guys were stronger than me. But I always had fun on my bike, and in my U19 and U23 years I started to develop fast. In 2020 and 2021 I raced for VC Mendrisio and had a breakthrough in U23 racing that earned me a two-year contract with Trek Segafredo/Lidl-Trek. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong the first year. The second year was good, but it wasn’t enough to secure a new contract for WorldTour racing. Now I’m working to come back and compete at the highest level and show what I’m made of.
