But they also know cycling can be more. “It brings people together,” says the London-based rider with roots in Ghana. “The reward comes from making friends and sharing the road with others.”
With that in mind, Duke now rides with a purpose: representation. “When I first started racing, there weren’t many people who looked like me,” they say. “I want more people to see that this is an option. In order to be it, you kind of need to see it.”
