Who would have thought that 21 years ago a kid who threw an eraser at his sixth-grade teacher would be introduced to the sport of velodrome cycling as a form of punishment. My name is Rahsaan Bahati and it’s true, I found the sport as a form of punishment. The punishment soon consumed my life and has taken me on a journey that I'm extremely grateful for.

Tips for new ridersDo your best to be a sponge. Right down your 6-month, 12-month and 24-month goals. Read them every day and understand that the goals you want to achieve will not happen overnight. However, they will happen if you plug away at them every day.
If you could ride with one person, living or dead, it would beMajor Taylor and my old coach Mark Whitehead
Words to live byYou don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.
