Lotte Kopecky swept the Belgian women’s national road championships, winning both the time trial and road race in Waregem. The 25-year-old was one of several CADEX road racers to score wins and podium appearances at various road racing national championships in Europe.

Kopecky kicked things off by winning the 25km Belgian time trial race for the third straight year. Riding a CADEX Aero WheelSystem with a 4-spoke aero front wheel and aero disc rear wheel, the Liv Racing WorldTeam rider blitzed the technical course that covered two laps. Trailing race leader Julie Van de Veldeafter one lap, she powered through the second to win by 14 seconds. Four days later, Kopecky struck again, riding with her CADEX 42 road wheels to and defending her road title from last year with a solo attack 8km from the finish line.

“The pace was really high, everyone was close to their limits,” Kopecky said after winning the road race. “I knew I had to go full gas and that this would be my only real chance because the legs were just not good enough for the sprint.”

Polish rider Marta Jaskulska also won a title riding a CADEX WheelSystem. The 21-year-old defended her Under-23 national time trial championship. A few days later she added to her success, winning a bronze medal in the U23 road race.

A third CADEX athlete, Soraya Paladin, also earned a podium, finishing second in the Italian time trial national championship.
